Guwahati: A major fire destroyed Cafe 7 in the Six Mile area of Guwahati during the early hours of June 5. The blaze began around 3:30 am and quickly consumed the entire restaurant property.
Fire crews arrived at the scene shortly after the alarm was raised. Firefighters managed to bring the flames under control by 4 am following a thirty-minute operation to contain the site. While the building suffered extensive destruction, officials confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries resulting from the incident.
Preliminary reports indicate that a short circuit may have triggered the fire. Authorities are continuing their investigation to verify the cause and conduct a full assessment of the losses, which are currently estimated to be worth more than Rs 50 lakh. According to initial reports, "the fire erupted at around 3:30 am and quickly spread across the premises, engulfing the restaurant within a short span of time."
