Gangtok: A major fire broke out at the Sri Satya Sai Nilayam Mandir in Jorethang on Tuesday morning, causing extensive damage to the interior of the prominent religious site. The blaze began at approximately 3 am in the Namchi district, prompting an urgent response from local emergency teams.

Firefighters arrived shortly after the alarm was raised to contain the flames. Their efforts prevented the fire from consuming the entire structure. While the temple suffered significant losses, officials confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries reported during the incident.
