Fifty Youths Join Yuva Sena to Boost Political Engagement in Manipur

Imphal: Approximately 50 youths from various valley constituencies joined the Yuva Sena Manipur Pradesh on Wednesday during an enrolment event in Imphal. The Shiv Sena youth wing organized the program to encourage young people to take a more active role in public affairs and politics.

State coordinator Nongmaithem Sanjay Singh stated that the organization aims to shift the traditional political landscape. He argued that politics has historically been dominated by senior leaders, but young people must enter the field early to steer the state toward a more secure future. Singh emphasized that leadership should be rooted in nationalism and a commitment to rebuilding the state.

Addressing the ongoing unrest in the region, Singh challenged the state and central governments for their failure to resolve the crisis after three years. He alleged that officials have prioritized electioneering over restoring peace, suggesting that the effort spent on recent campaigns could have stabilized Manipur by now. He urged the new members to use their skills to help restore peace and shape the future of their society.

During the event, several of the new recruits were officially appointed as office bearers for the party. The leadership expects more young influencers to join the ranks in the coming days.
