Itanagar: Donyi Polo Airport in Arunachal Pradesh celebrated Yatri Suvidha Diwas on Monday by hosting a range of passenger-centric activities. Travelers arriving at the facility were greeted with a traditional tilak ceremony and received saplings as part of the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign.

Airport officials also set up a dedicated photo booth and collected traveler feedback to better understand how to improve the overall airport experience. Airport Director Narender stated the initiatives were aimed at strengthening passenger services and "reaffirming the Airports Authority of India’s commitment to providing a seamless travel environment."

Management highlighted recent infrastructure improvements, including a significant expansion of the car parking facility, which can now accommodate 300 vehicles instead of the previous 100. These upgrades coincide with the recent operationalization of the airport's new terminal.

Alongside these improvements, the airport announced changes to its flight schedule due to external factors, including the current situation in West Asia. Starting June 16, direct flights between Donyi Polo Airport and Kolkata will operate four days a week, with service suspended on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Authorities confirmed these adjustments are part of ongoing operational planning intended to maintain consistent connectivity.
