Dimapur hosts youth conclave for linguistic minority rights

Kohima: The Linguistic Minority Forum of Nagaland gathers in Dimapur on July 12. The group hosts its 2nd Youth Conclave-cum-Cultural Fest at the Town Hall starting at 10:00 am. This event targets youth leadership and national integration.

Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav attends the 11:00 am opening as chief guest. Moatoshi Longkumer joins the afternoon session at 1:00 pm. Attendees include students, community leaders, and various cultural groups.

Performers will highlight diverse traditions. The program focuses on protecting constitutional rights and basic services for vulnerable groups. Organizers believe these events celebrate "cultural diversity while fostering unity."

The Forum is rolling out a new welfare project for physically challenged people from poor backgrounds. This plan offers skill training and helps people get necessary medical devices. The day ends with the presentation of the LMFN Yuva Excellence Ratna Award 2026. This prize honors young people for social work.

Non-Naga minority youth are encouraged to show up. The group wants more unity and social justice across the state.
