Kohima: Sumi region members of the NSCN (IM) met in Zunheboto on June 30 to lock in their support for the group's top brass. They want a stronger administration. Deputy Kilo Kilonser Bokato Kinimi led the session.
The group backed the collective leadership team. This includes Yaruiwo Q Tuccu, Kedallo Tongmath Wangnao, Ato Kilonser Th Muivah, and Deputy Ato Kilonser VS Atem. They also stood by the 2015 Framework Agreement with the Indian government.
The workers pushed back against surrender. They fully endorsed a June 18 statement from Yaruiwo Q Tuccu, who insisted the group would "stand firm until the end and never surrender to the Government of India."
They aren't backing down. Members promised to remain steadfast in upholding the principles of their existing agreements.
