Kohima: Airports Authority of India officials handed over a yellow TATA Motors tipper truck to Darogapathar village on Wednesday. The handover took place during a ceremony on September 23. It falls under the agency's Corporate Social Responsibility program.
The truck will help the village tackle waste management. It also supports various community projects. Officials expect the vehicle to improve local infrastructure and boost public welfare for residents.
Regional Executive Director, North East Region, AAI, handed the keys to village representatives. The event drew a crowd of local leaders. Attendees included the General Manager (Engineering-Civil), North East Region, the Dimapur Airport Director, and the ADC of Chümoukedima district. Members of the Darogapathar Village Council also watched the presentation.
"The initiative aims to support the village in strengthening waste management and other community related activities, thereby contributing to improved local infrastructure and public welfare," stated the official press release.
