Kohima: Indian Oil Corporation Limited delivered new community upgrades in Dimapur this past Thursday. The company finished a first-floor classroom extension at Government Primary School in Kevijau Colony. Workers also installed 40 solar lights across Padum Pukhuri village to improve safety. These projects fall under the company's broader Corporate Social Responsibility efforts in Nagaland.
Dimapur Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tinojongshi Chang attended both ceremonies as the chief guest. He praised the firm for backing health, education, and infrastructure projects across the state. Chang noted his history with the company officials dating back to 2023 when they first discussed the needs of Kevijau Colony. Nitin Bhatnagar, the Executive Director and State Head for IOAOD SO, confirmed the company stays committed to local growth.
Bhatnagar highlighted that Dimapur serves as a hub for the firm, housing both a depot and an LPG plant that fuel the entire state. He reiterated the company stance, stating, "Nation First" remained one of the corporation's core philosophies. The company plans to keep reviewing community requests based on its internal guidelines.
Dipak Pathak, the Deputy General Manager of Operations for IOAODSO in Guwahati, stated the solar system cost approximately Rs 40 lakh. He told residents the gear requires little maintenance but urged them to protect the new assets. Local leaders now aim to identify future development projects for similar support.
