Guwahati: Dhubri Sadar Police arrested four men Sunday following a raid on a fraud and gambling ring. Officers moved in after getting intelligence about suspects lurking near the State Bank of India branch in Dhubri town.

The suspects include Mofazzal Hussain Mollah, Mohoshin Choudhury, Mostafizur Rahman, and Hafijur Rahman. Police caught them before they could execute their planned crimes. Officers seized one ATM card, seven mobile phones, and two motorcycles used for their getaways.

Investigators believe the mobile devices hold records of illegal bets and shady money transfers. Officer-in-Charge Pritam Das said the group was caught red-handed. "The seized mobile devices contain substantial digital evidence related to suspected online gambling operations and irregular monetary transactions," Das stated.

Police impounded the bikes, registered as AS-17R-2770 and AS-01GF-4870. The four men are now in judicial custody. Detectives are working to find other members of the network.
