Imphal: Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar demanded faster project delivery on Monday, July 14. He chaired a district-level review session at the Churachandpur DC office to track progress on central and state government schemes. Heads of various departments presented reports on their latest targets and innovations.

The meeting brought together Additional Deputy Commissioners, the Lead District Manager from SBI, and various line department staff. Kumar pushed for better coordination between these offices. He wants government benefits reaching the public without delay. Projects must move faster.

Kumar told the room that officials must own their work. He insisted that development programs reach every sub-division in the district equally. Officials must finish their assignments within set deadlines. Transparency remains the top priority.

He also called for participation in the Ni-kshay Mitra initiative. This program supports the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan national effort to kill off tuberculosis. "I urged officials to adopt innovative practices and replicate successful models across sectors to improve governance and service delivery," said Kumar. All departments now face a deadline to submit updated action plans before the next review gathering.
