Imphal: The District Administration of Chandel officially inaugurated the nationwide Information, Education and Communication campaign titled Jan Bhagidaari Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle. Announced by Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Firoz Khan during a meeting at the Chandel Conference Hall on Monday, the initiative operates under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

Running from May 18 to May 25, the week-long campaign is designed to boost public participation and ensure that welfare schemes and government services reach the most remote areas of the district. The administration has scheduled activities across 91 villages spanning three blocks, focusing on increasing awareness, facilitating enrolment, and streamlining the delivery of essential benefits.

To ensure the program achieves its objectives, ADC Firoz Khan has directed all Sub-Divisional Officers, Block Development Officers, and relevant department heads to maintain rigorous administrative coordination. Officials have been tasked with conducting wide-reaching publicity and organizing local events to ensure that the campaign effectively bridges the gap between the government and the community.
