Imphal: Khundrakpam MLA Thokchom Lokeshwar Singh pointed the finger at Camp Sinai today. He claims armed cadres from the camp carried out the recent killings. Security failed. The MLA slammed Central security forces for sitting on their hands while assailants moved freely.
Singh believes a fast cordon-and-search operation would have stopped the bloodshed. He argues that troops had the chance to intercept the killers on routes leading back to the camp. Officials have not confirmed these claims yet. Independent verification remains impossible for now.
The public outcry is growing loud. Demands for a full investigation and better security deployments dominate the conversation. People want results. As the MLA stated, "The attack has intensified demands for a thorough investigation, effective security deployment and concrete measures to prevent further loss of civilian lives."
