BSF Trooper Dies by Suicide in Tripura

Agartala: A Border Security Force trooper killed himself Thursday morning in Tripura. The soldier fired his service weapon while stationed at the Tebaria Border Out Post in the West District. He died on the spot. The 42nd Battalion BSF duty post sits near Gate Number 52.

Intelligence sources confirmed the shooting took place at 5:45 a.m. on October 1. The deceased was Nagendra Kumar, a resident of Dosod, Rajasthan. Authorities remain uncertain about what triggered the shooting.

An official noted, "The incident falls under the jurisdiction of Airport Police Station while the place of occurrence is reportedly under Lefunga Police Station jurisdiction." Police and BSF commanders have started an investigation into the matter. Details remain thin as investigators work the scene.
