Bharat Scouts and Guides Dimapur Inducts New Leadership Team

Kohima: The Bharat Scouts and Guides Association in Dimapur held an induction ceremony on May 21 at the District Education Office in Nagarajan. During the event, District Education Officer Y. Mughao Zhimo officially took office as the District Chief Commissioner, while Senior Sub-Divisional Education Officer Kitoshi Z. Swu was named district secretary.

State Commissioner for Scouts V.K. Shah opened the proceedings by emphasizing the movement's role in fostering youth welfare and growth. He encouraged the new leaders to remain dedicated to the development of scouts and guides across the district.

Following his induction, Zhimo noted the importance of the movement in building character, discipline, and patriotism. He called for stronger community and school support to expand the reach of the organization. Swu echoed these sentiments, highlighting the need for compassion and teamwork to help shape responsible citizens.

Hokali Sema was also inducted as the District Organising Commissioner for Guides. She committed to expanding the program to government schools that currently lack established guide companies and pledged to provide ongoing support for guiders.

The event was led by officials including ADOC (G) Viheli Kiba and ADOC (S) Aotoshi, who oversaw the formal induction oaths. The program concluded with a vote of thanks after opening remarks by chair Rokovi I. Phira.
