Agartala: Bangladesh sent 600 kilograms of premium mangoes to Tripura, India. The shipment arrived at the Akhaura Integrated Check Post in Brahmanbaria. Customs processed the fruit before it moved to Agartala for distribution.

The gift reached Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu and Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha. Officials packed the fruit into 120 cartons. Hasan Al Bashar Abul Ulayee, Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Agartala, said the move maintains a long-standing tradition of goodwill.

"To strengthen our relationship further, the Government of Bangladesh has sent 600 kilograms of Haribhanga and Amrapali mangoes as a goodwill gift to the Chief Minister of Tripura, the Governor, and other senior officials," Ulayee said. The gesture highlights the shared history between the two neighbors.

Both sides trade seasonal goods regularly. Tripura often returns the favor by sending their own GI tagged queen pineapples to Bangladesh. This exchange solidifies the ongoing friendship between the two regions.
