Guwahati: Baksa district officials opened a new training push on Wednesday to turn residents into business owners. The administration started a three-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme for 1,438 people signed up for the CMAAA 2.0 scheme. Training sessions run at the Baksa Polytechnic through July 31. This site serves as the main hub for the effort.
Participants will rotate through 31 separate batches over the coming weeks. The program aims to swap raw talent for practical business skills. District Commissioner Kimnei Changsan opened the inaugural session to set the tone for the candidates. She pushed the group to treat these lessons as a foundation for building lasting, profitable companies.
Changsan highlighted the intent behind the government cash flow. She told the crowd, "CMAAA 2.0 is not merely a financial assistance scheme but an initiative designed to empower aspiring entrepreneurs, generate employment opportunities and strengthen the local economy." Officials including EM Augustus Tigga and MCLA Ridip Kumar Deka joined the session. The District Industries and Commerce Centre expects this training to spark a wave of self-employment across the region.
