Guwahati: Devnarayan Nath died Friday night following a car crash in Guwahati. The 19-year-old grandson of veteran Assamese actress Chetana Das hit a flyover divider near Guwahati Club. The vehicle lost control late on July 18, causing fatal injuries. He died at the scene.
Nath was the only son of Anindita Das, who is the elder daughter of Chetana Das. He was a dedicated performer with the Seagull theatre group. His colleagues are grieving. "His untimely demise has left Assam's theatre fraternity in deep mourning, with colleagues and well-wishers mourning the loss of a promising young artiste."
The cultural community remains in shock. Friends and family are mourning the sudden loss of the young performer. Officials have yet to release further details about the accident.
