Assam Police Seize Narcotics Worth ₹6.4 Crore in Sribhumi

Guwahati: Assam Police confiscated narcotics valued at approximately ₹6.4 crore during an operation in Sribhumi. The haul included 20,000 YABA tablets alongside 14,100 bottles of codeine-based cough syrup.

Authorities arrested two individuals accused of trafficking the illicit substances during the raid. This action serves as the latest milestone in the ongoing Assam Against Drugs campaign, a statewide initiative aimed at dismantling local narcotics networks.

Assam Police confirmed that enforcement efforts will remain a priority, stating, "efforts to curb drug trafficking and narcotics-related activities will continue through sustained enforcement operations." Officials remain committed to aggressive measures to stop the flow of illegal drugs across the state.
