Assam Man Dies in Tragic Fall From Train While Traveling Home for Bakrid

Guwahati: A man from Assam died after falling from a moving train near New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal. The victim, identified as Habibur Rahman from Thiatengoni village, was traveling back to his hometown from Kerala to celebrate Bakrid with his family. He was accompanied by his son when the accident occurred.

Family members suspect foul play in the incident and have alleged that unidentified individuals may have pushed Rahman from the train. This claim has led to significant unrest in his home district of Nagaon, where local residents are calling for a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of his death.

Railway Police have recovered the body and transferred it for a post-mortem examination. Authorities have launched an official inquiry to determine exactly how the tragedy unfolded.
