Guwahati: The Directorate of Census Operations in Assam dropped its official Census 2027 theme song on August 7. Officials held the event in Amingaon, located in the Kamrup district. The track features the voice of the late music icon Zubeen Garg. He is a legend.

The song aims to push citizens toward active participation in the national census count. Attendees honored Garg by lighting a ceremonial lamp at the start of the program.
