Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma issued a warning to the state on Saturday, July 4, as temperatures hit record highs. The heat is intensifying. Sarma told citizens to drink water constantly and add local fruit to their diets to stay cool.

The Chief Minister specifically warned those working or traveling during the hottest parts of the day to limit time in the sun. He wants people to be careful. If anyone feels dizzy or weak, he says they must act fast.

Sarma told the public: "Assam's medical services have improved considerably over the years, making healthcare more accessible to people across the state." He insists that residents should head to local clinics if they need medical help.

The state government promised to keep building up the health sector. They want to ensure everyone gets treatment when the heat causes trouble. Stay inside and stay hydrated.
