Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a review meeting on Sunday regarding the state's massive healthcare infrastructure expansion. The Chief Minister assessed 11 ongoing projects alongside four upcoming medical colleges and hospitals to ensure they remain on schedule.

Sarma emphasized that the initiative represents the most significant growth in medical facilities in the state's history. Reflecting on the project status, he noted, "Assam's healthcare infrastructure is witnessing its biggest expansion ever. Yesterday, I reviewed the progress of 11 ongoing and 4 upcoming Medical Colleges & Hospitals to ensure timely execution and delivery."

Beyond building new structures, the administration is prioritizing the development of high-quality nursing facilities and sustainable, green campus environments. These efforts aim to create a resilient public health ecosystem designed to serve Assam for decades.
