Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Briefs PM Modi on State Progress

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on May 30 to outline the early achievements of the state's new administration. This visit occurred just weeks after Sarma took the oath of office on May 12 for his second consecutive term as Chief Minister.

This current term represents the third successive government formed by the National Democratic Alliance in Assam. According to the Prime Minister's Office, the two leaders held discussions regarding recent developments within the state since the new government took power.

Following the meeting, Sarma noted that he updated the Prime Minister on the headstart the administration is making during this new term. He also expressed his appreciation for the consistent support provided by the central government. Looking toward the future, Sarma requested continued guidance and blessings from the Prime Minister as the state moves forward with its administrative agenda.
