Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Briefs PM Modi on New Government Progress

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on May 30 to discuss the initial progress of the state's newly formed NDA government. The visit follows Sarma being sworn in for his second consecutive term as chief minister on May 12, marking the third successive NDA administration in the state.

According to the Prime Minister's Office, the two leaders reviewed recent developments regarding the new administration. Following the session, Sarma stated that he briefed the Prime Minister on the headstart the government is achieving during its current term. He also expressed appreciation for the ongoing support received from the central government.

Sarma thanked the Prime Minister for his consistent assistance and requested continued guidance for the state's upcoming projects. This meeting serves as part of the routine consultations between the Centre and the Assam government as the state begins its new administrative cycle.
