Arunachal Pradesh Welcomes 404 New Junior Engineers in Major Recruitment Drive

Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government held a ceremony on Monday to celebrate the appointment of 404 new junior engineers. These recruits were selected through the 2025 Junior Engineer Combined Recruitment Examination. The event, held in a grand hall, featured top state leaders including Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Home Minister Mama Natung, Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul, and Chief Secretary Manish Gupta.

Addressing the new hires, Chief Minister Khandu emphasized the importance of integrity and dedication. He called on the engineers to serve with honesty as they begin their careers across departments such as Urban Development, Rural Works, Public Works, Power, and Water Resources. The recruits are expected to play a vital role in the state's long-term infrastructure and development projects.

This recruitment process marks a notable shift for the state, which has faced significant delays and controversies regarding exam leaks in recent years. Parents of the successful candidates expressed relief, specifically praising the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission for managing a transparent and fair selection process. The newly inducted engineers noted that the ceremony provided meaningful motivation, while families hope their addition to the workforce will lead to improved governance and stronger infrastructure throughout the region.
