Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj department has launched an official website and a new departmental logo in an effort to modernize grassroots governance. Minister Ojing Tasing inaugurated the digital platform in Itanagar, describing the move as a vital step toward deepening democracy at the village level.
The department adopted the guiding principle of rural welfare and happiness to frame this digital shift. Minister Tasing emphasized that the initiative aims to make government services more accessible, accountable, and inclusive for all citizens. He noted that the new logo reflects the core values of rural dignity, welfare, and empowerment.
This initiative supports over 2,000 Gram Panchayats and 25 Zilla Parishads across the state. Officials believe the digital push is essential for improving service delivery and strengthening the third tier of government. The Minister credited the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu for driving this vision of progressive governance.
The launch event saw participation from various department officials, including Joint Director Likha Sampu and Deputy Director A.G. Ligu. Minister Tasing praised the collaborative effort of field staff and leadership in bringing the project to life, marking a new chapter for the state's rural administration.
