Arunachal Pradesh Braces for Monsoon Floods

Itanagar: Flash floods hit Keyi Panyor district, causing widespread destruction and chaos. Chief Minister Pema Khandu says the state government prepared for the monsoon months ago. Officials met with deputy commissioners from all 28 districts to sharpen emergency response plans. They also consulted with disaster management officers to keep the state running.

The monsoon season hits Arunachal Pradesh hard between April and September. The state government now monitors weather patterns daily to get ahead of rising waters. "We cannot control nature," Khandu said. He wants locals to listen to safety warnings and move to government relief camps if their homes sit near river basins.

Khandu insists the state will push resources to protect anyone caught in the storms. Residents must stay alert. The administration is watching the weather closely to prevent further loss.
