Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Commerce and Industries Minister Nyato Dukam reaffirmed the state government's dedication to transforming the region into a prominent industrial hub during an event in Pasighat on Saturday, May 16. The Minister emphasized that the administration, led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, is actively working to foster a robust industrial climate across the state.

As part of this initiative, Dukam inaugurated Tulang, a new edible oil extraction and production unit operating as a subsidiary of Elam Industries. The facility is equipped to manufacture pure mustard and sesame oil, boasting an initial daily production capacity of 200 liters.

Local stakeholder Tapi Darang highlighted the dual benefits of the project, noting that the unit will provide a vital market for local oilseed farmers. Furthermore, the establishment of the factory is expected to stimulate regional economic development by creating new employment opportunities for the local youth.
