Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Forest and Environment Minister Wangki Lowang visited Deomali on June 19 to survey widespread destruction caused by recent flash floods. Accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, the minister inspected critical infrastructure, including damaged roads and bridges, which have left several villages isolated and struggling to access essential services.

During his site visit, Lowang consulted with local officials to gauge the scale of the crisis. He instructed the relevant departments to prioritize repairs and restore connectivity as quickly as possible. The minister emphasized the necessity of a unified response, stating he urged the need for "coordinated efforts among various agencies to address the situation effectively."

Officials confirmed that damage assessments are still in progress. The state government remains focused on relief operations and restoring public services for the affected communities while authorities continue to monitor the impact of the flooding on the region.
