Imphal: The Tirap, Changlang, and Longding People’s Forum based in Arunachal Pradesh has issued a formal condemnation following the murder of six Naga civilians in Manipur. The incident, which occurred in the Kangpokpi district on 13 June 2026, has been labeled by the organization as a barbaric act of violence that violates fundamental human rights.

Reports emerging from the region claim that women were held hostage and forced to consume the flesh of the victims. The forum described these allegations as a shocking violation of human dignity. Regarding the violence, the organization stated, "No cause, ideology, or circumstance can ever justify the taking of innocent lives in such a cruel and merciless manner."

The forum is calling on the state and central governments to launch an urgent and transparent investigation to apprehend those responsible. They argued that any delay in these proceedings undermines the public's confidence in the justice system. The group remains in solidarity with the families of the victims while urging authorities to bolster law and order to prevent future incidents of this nature.
