Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu signaled strong support for the Indian Army on July 9. He pointed to deep ties with border villagers as the primary reason for a secure frontier. Troops recently pushed into the remote villages of Thingbu and Mago. They met with local yak graziers, village leaders, and residents.
The program aims to pull local youth toward better education. Soldiers pushed hard on themes of service and national duty. Khandu noted that the partnership keeps the nation safe. "Nothing is more powerful than the enduring relationship between the Indian Army and the people living along the country's borders," he said.
Lieutenant General Neeraj Shukla spearheaded the move. He leads the Gajraj Corps. Khandu gave credit to Shukla for the success of the mission. The state government views this bond as a core pillar of border defense.
