Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated a series of infrastructure projects in the West Kameng district on Wednesday. The developments in Bhalukpong and Thrizino focus on expanding sports, educational, and administrative services for local communities.

Accompanied by local MLA Tenzin Nyima Glow, Khandu unveiled new badminton halls at both locations, along with residential quarters and an auditorium at the Government Secondary School in Thrizino. Other additions include an office for the Assistant Commissioner at Bhalukpong and a nunnery hostel and conference hall at Rangapara in Assam.

Addressing the public, Khandu emphasized that these additions demonstrate his government's dedication to improving public services and fostering regional talent. He stated, "The projects reflected the State government's commitment to improving educational facilities, promoting sports and enhancing public infrastructure."

The Greater Kameng Badminton Association praised the new facilities, noting that the Bhalukpong hall features four international-standard courts while the Thrizino site includes two. Officials believe this infrastructure will provide essential training opportunities for local athletes. MLA Glow expressed appreciation for the support, highlighting the progress the constituency has achieved under the current administration.
