Imphal: The All Manipur Christian Organization (AMCO) has demanded an immediate investigation into the deaths of six Naga civilians whose bodies were discovered on June 10. The victims, who were abducted from Leilon Vaiphei Village on May 13, 2026, included two pastors and a deacon known for their community service.

AMCO condemned the incident in a June 12 statement, labeling the abduction, torture, and murder of the villagers a "barbaric and inhuman atrocity" that violated human dignity. The organization reported that the victims suffered severe mutilation, and it asserted that no political or ethnic grievance can justify such violence against innocent people.

The Christian body urged the Indian and Manipur governments to prosecute those responsible and increase security for vulnerable residents. While calling for accountability, the organization also commended the Naga community for maintaining restraint throughout the crisis. AMCO closed its statement by appealing to local leaders and citizens to prioritize reconciliation and healing to restore social harmony across the region.
