AASU activists protest rising costs of essential goods in Morigaon

Guwahati: Members of the All Assam Students' Union gathered in Morigaon on Friday to protest against the climbing prices of daily necessities. The local demonstration served as part of a broader statewide movement organized by the student body to pressure the government into stabilizing the market.

Protesters marched through the town carrying banners and symbolic LPG cylinders while chanting slogans against the current economic situation. The group specifically pointed to the rising costs of petrol, diesel, cooking fuel, and medicines, claiming that the government has failed to provide necessary relief to the public.

AASU leaders stated that authorities have remained inactive as inflation continues to cause financial hardship for common citizens. The organization warned that it plans to escalate these demonstrations in the near future if the government does not take effective steps to control prices.
