WSBAK Urges Responsible Social Media Habits

Kohima: Church leaders gathered at the Diphupar Sümi Baptist Church on June 23 to discuss digital ethics. The Western Sümi Akukuhou Kuqhakuku (WSBAK) hosted the Shepherd Revival-cum-Bible Talk. Vitoka K Aye spoke to the crowd about the risks and rewards of living online.

Aye warned that online choices carry weight. Users face real legal danger for sharing illegal posts or defaming others. He told the audience, "Judicious Use of Social Media" is a necessity for those in positions of trust. He urged leaders to keep their posts consistent with Christian values and to stop spreading harmful content.

Digital platforms offer a path to growth. Aye encouraged congregations to move into Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. These tools help reach young people and those who cannot physically attend services. He pointed to successful medical fundraisers and relief efforts as proof that technology can support the community. Leaders must use their digital influence with care to maintain their integrity.
