Agartala: A 32-year-old woman died following a crash on an Agartala flyover during the Independence Day weekend. Eli Debbarma of Supari Bagan was declared "brought dead" at IGM Hospital shortly after the wreck.
Police arrived at the hospital after acquaintances rushed the victim there for treatment. Officials suspect she was riding on a friend's motorcycle when the collision occurred, though they have yet to confirm those details. Detectives currently hold the name of a person of interest while they verify the facts.
Authorities transferred the remains to GB Pant Hospital. A post-mortem exam will pinpoint the exact cause of her death. Police logged the incident as a road traffic accident and started a formal investigation. They will release further findings once witness statements and medical reports surface.
