Kohima: The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) in Wokha has officially scheduled a riding test for individuals seeking two-wheeler taxi permits. The assessment is set to take place on May 20, commencing at 10:00 AM within the premises of the District Transport Officer (DTO) office compound.
According to an official report from the Department of Information and Public Relations, the RTA will provide motorcycles for the examination. Applicants who prefer to use their own vehicles are permitted to do so, provided that the motorcycle has an engine displacement of 125cc or greater. Candidates are responsible for any damages incurred to department-owned vehicles during the testing process.
Participants must arrive at the venue promptly and are required to present two recent passport-size photographs along with a valid government-issued identification document. Attendees are expected to adhere strictly to all directives provided by the authorities on the day of the test.
Regarding liability, the department clarified that it will not be responsible for any injuries, accidents, or mishaps that occur during the evaluation. Furthermore, no travel or dearness allowances will be provided to participants. The testing process will be overseen by a designated committee, with the Assistant Regional Transport Officer serving as the convenor, supported by the Enforcement Inspector and the Motor Vehicle Inspector. The Extra Assistant Commissioner of Transport will supervise the event to ensure the proceedings are conducted smoothly.
