Wokha District Administration Announces Election Day Traffic Restrictions

Kohima: The Wokha district administration has announced traffic restrictions surrounding the Deputy Commissioner's office for June 16. These measures are timed to coincide with the municipal polling for Ward 8, Tsumang B, of the Wokha Town Council.

Deputy Commissioner K Mhathung Tsanglao issued an advisory stating that all private and government vehicles are prohibited from entering past the DC office gate. This restriction begins at 6 am and remains in place until the polling process concludes.

The administration implemented these rules to support the mandate set by the State Election Commission. Officials stated the goal is to ensure the "free, fair and smooth conduct of the election" for the local ward. Authorities have requested that all residents and motorists comply with the new rules and cooperate with personnel on duty.
