Guwahati: Abhimanyu Talukdar walked into an Assam fast-track court on Wednesday, September 23. He is the latest witness to provide testimony in the death case of singer Zubeen Garg. The court is working through a series of expatriate Assamese witnesses who attended a yacht party in Singapore with the singer before he died.
The prosecution needs these statements to build its evidence. Talukdar follows several other overseas witnesses who have already taken the stand. This list includes Parikshit, Sushmita, Pratim Lahkar, Debajyoti, and Jio Langsat Narzary. The court records these accounts as part of a formal judicial investigation into the circumstances of the singer's final days.
"Talukdar is among a series of expatriate Assamese witnesses being examined as part of the judicial proceedings into the circumstances surrounding the singer's death." Legal officials expect more testimony to follow as the prosecution continues its examination. The Singapore yacht party remains the focal point of the ongoing proceedings.
