Shillong: The Tura Based Church Leaders’ Forum spoke out Thursday against three NEET 2026 paper leaks and alleged irregularities within the CBSE on-screen marking process. These lapses erode public faith in the national testing system. The group argues the National Testing Agency failed its duty to students after collecting significant examination fees. They claim the agency has not kept the process fair, secure, or transparent.
"Having collected substantial examination fees from candidates, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is duty-bound to conduct examinations that are timely, secure, fair, transparent, and credible," the forum stated. The group also highlighted reports of excessive police force against youth organizations protesting at Jantar Mantar. They insist that peaceful dissent is a fundamental right in a democracy.
The forum is calling for a thorough and independent investigation into the security breaches and administrative failures. They want those responsible prosecuted under the law. Furthermore, the organization urged the Prime Minister to engage with the student community and push for structural reforms. They also challenged the Union Minister for Education to accept moral responsibility for the ongoing crisis. The future of the nation depends on fixing these broken institutions.
