Agartala: Tripura Animal Resources Development Department Minister Sudhangshu Das traveled to Anand, Gujarat, on Thursday, July 16. He held high-level talks with the National Dairy Development Board to overhaul the dairy industry back home. They want more milk. The minister aims to build modern infrastructure and boost farmer paychecks.
Das toured the NDDB OPU-IVF Centre, the Genomics Laboratory, the Fodder Plant, and various cattle farms. He examined new scientific practices for breeding and sustainable herd management. These facilities offer a blueprint for Tripura to grow its local supply chain through technology and innovation.
The minister was joined by ARDD Secretary Deepa D. Nair and Director Dr. Neeraj Kumar Chanchal. Together, they mapped out plans for better breeding programs and fodder development. They intend to push value-added products to the market to help rural families earn more money.
Das sees this partnership as the engine for long-term economic growth in Tripura. He is betting on NDDB’s technical guidance to change the state’s agricultural output. “Our vision is to establish a significant and prosperous dairy industry in Tripura, and NDDB’s expertise will be pivotal in realizing this ambition,” he said.
The state government plans to adopt these practices to build a durable dairy ecosystem. This collaboration focuses on innovation. It targets better livelihoods for every dairy farmer across the state.
