Agartala: Tripura Animal Resource Development Minister Sudhangshu Das visited the National Dairy Development Board headquarters in Anand, Gujarat, to jumpstart the state's milk industry. The meetings took place over July 16 and 17. Das brought along ARD Secretary Deepa D. Nair and Director Niraj Kumar Chanchal to scout modern farming techniques.

The delegation toured several high-tech NDDB sites. They inspected the OPU-IVF Centre, the Genomics Laboratory, the Fodder Plant, and various cattle farms. They want to bring these scientific practices home to boost local milk production and farmer income. The talks covered everything from better breeding programs to modernizing the state's dairy infrastructure.

Officials discussed how to make the dairy value chain more efficient. They are aiming for better nutritional security and sustainable livelihoods for Tripura farmers. Minister Das noted that the NDDB model for genetic improvement and management could provide a blueprint for his state. He expects a close collaboration to drive innovation and welfare.

Das left the meeting feeling optimistic about the potential results. "I look forward to a significant and strong partnership between the ARD Department and NDDB to further strengthen Tripura's dairy industry," he said. The state government now prepares to put those technology-driven solutions to work.
