Agartala: Tripura Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury met with Sub-Divisional Magistrates from all eight districts on September 28. The virtual conference focused on field-level awareness campaigns for government food security programs. Chowdhury wants to reach every eligible person.

The campaign targets beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act, specifically those enrolled in the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, the Targeted Public Distribution System, and the One Nation One Ration Card scheme. Officials must ensure people understand their entitlements.

Chowdhury demanded coordinated action across departments. He told staff to keep public interest at the front of every decision. The minister stated: "Cooperation of concerned departments and officials" is vital for the effective implementation of these programs. He issued direct orders to ensure the campaign hits the grassroots level.
