Tripura Pushes Road Safety Awareness in Bishalgarh

Agartala: Tripura Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury launched a road safety push in Bishalgarh on September 25. He demanded better public cooperation to curb rising traffic accidents. The Sepahijala District Administration hosted the event at New Town Hall. Officials now want to boost awareness of traffic laws and emergency welfare programs.

Chowdhury highlighted specific aid initiatives for victims. He pointed to the Rah-Veer and PM Rahat schemes. "The Centre and the state government were committed to extending support to people affected by accidents and other emergencies," the minister stated. He urged residents to stay informed about these benefits so they can find help when disaster hits.

Infrastructure is getting a facelift too. Chowdhury promised the Bishalgarh Motor Stand will undergo redevelopment to prioritize public safety. Authorities plan to take this safety drive into schools and colleges throughout the state. They want to encourage responsible driving habits among all citizens.

Sepahijala District Magistrate Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal and Inspector General of Police Manchak Ippar attended the launch. Local MLAs Sushanta Deb, Tafazzal Hossain, and Antara Sarkar Deb also appeared to support the mission.
