Guwahati: Uttam Kumar Biswakarma just scored the Ayush Excellence Award in Kathmandu. The Tinsukia native, now working in Arunachal Pradesh, earned the honor at the International Ayush Conclave 4.0 in Nepal. He grabbed the trophy for his work in holistic wellness and public health awareness.

The event drew over 250 experts from 25 Indian states and countries like Malaysia, Canada, and the UAE. It was a massive gathering. Organized by the Council for Integrative Vaidhya Innovation and Collaboration alongside the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, the conclave focused on global medical cooperation.

Biswakarma also snagged a certificate for joining a world-record clinical diagnosis session during the event. M.M. Qureshi led the initiative with backing from Legends World Records. Looking ahead, the practitioner plans to push forward with his health outreach efforts. Biswakarma said the recognition would "encourage him to continue working in the fields of AYUSH medicine, health education and community outreach."
