Tiger Kills Cattle Near Kaziranga National Park

Guwahati: A tiger killed a head of cattle near the Burapahar Range Forest Officer’s office on Saturday, August 29. The attack happened near Naharbasti, right along National Highway 715. Danger is close. The predator dragged its kill from deep inside Kaziranga National Park to a spot just yards from the busy road.

Drivers and locals are worried. Wildlife movement near the asphalt creates a volatile situation for anyone passing through. Forest officials plan to survey the area and track the big cat’s movements. One local source noted that the "incident occurred close to the highway, raising concerns among local residents and motorists about the movement of wildlife in the area." Patrols will monitor the perimeter to prevent further run-ins.
