Kohima: Tetso College in Sovima just cracked the India Today and MDRA Best Colleges Survey 2026. It landed the 198th spot among the top Bachelor of Arts programs nationwide. This puts the Chümoukedima institution inside the top 200 out of more than 45,000 colleges across the country.
The All Nagaland College Students' Union celebrated the news. They said the ranking proves local schools can compete on the national stage. It is a big deal for the state.
The union released a statement about the accomplishment. They called it "not only a significant milestone for Tetso College but also a matter of immense pride for the entire State of Nagaland."
Officials pointed to the hard work of the faculty, staff, and students. They credited the college for its commitment to academic quality and visionary leadership. The union expects this win to push the institution toward even bigger goals in the coming years.
