Imphal: The Tahamzam Youth Forum is backing a formal ultimatum issued by the Naga Village Guard-Northern Command regarding six civilians who remain missing following their abduction on May 13, 2026. The forum alleges that these individuals were taken by the KNF-P and accuses certain factions of the Kuki community of concealing the truth while ignoring repeated pleas for their safe return.

The incident began when 18 Naga civilians, including women and children, were seized while traveling. While 14 individuals were eventually released following humanitarian efforts, the remaining six have not been accounted for. The youth forum expressed deep frustration, stating that the Naga community has shown significant restraint and maturity despite what it describes as calculated psychological warfare and distorted narratives.

The organization criticized those who issue public calls for peace and brotherhood while simultaneously remaining silent about the plight of the missing captives. According to the forum, the Naga community has consistently protected the safety of travelers and patients from all backgrounds during the conflict. It asserted that this commitment to human life demonstrates their dedication to regional stability.

The group issued a firm warning that the current Naga youth will no longer accept deception or passive humiliation. The Northern Command has signaled that it may transfer the matter to the Western Command in Tamenglong if the situation remains unresolved. This stance reflects a growing collective resolve to end what the organization calls selective moral posturing and manipulation.
