In New Delhi, Tura MP Saleng Sangma toured Tihar Jail to review how the government delivers legal aid. He focused on the Legal Services Authorities Act. The team looked at how Lok Adalats settle disputes and protect marginalized groups. This includes women, children, and people in custody who cannot afford a lawyer.

The EPFO is also rolling out a new amnesty deal for Provident Fund trusts. Companies have six months to fix their status and get official exemptions. This follows changes in the Finance Act meant to align tax rules with labor laws. Establishments can apply through regional offices to clear out old legal battles over unpaid dues. Employers must submit audited accounts to complete the process.
