Social Welfare Department Hosts Training for Crèche Workers in Chümoukedima

Kohima: The Nagaland Department of Social Welfare hosted a three-day training program for crèche workers from May 20 to 22, 2026. Held at the Anganwadi Training Centre in Diphupar A, Chümoukedima, the event focused on the Palna Anganwadi-Cum-Crèche initiative under Mission Shakti.

During the opening session, Social Welfare Director Tosheli Zhimomi encouraged attendees to work with dedication at the grassroots level. She emphasized the importance of using the training to maintain safe and secure environments for children in their care. Secretary of Social Welfare and Mission Shakti Director, Yongchingkumla, delivered the keynote address. She noted that the expansion of these centers is designed to support more women working in both organized and unorganized sectors.

The training was managed by course directors CDPO Unice and CDPO Limasangla, with Assistant Director Asangla Jamir chairing the inaugural event.
